Senate Bill 37 Passes in the House and the Senate

After three weeks of deliberation, in both the House and the Senate, SB 37, “In-Person Learning Choice for Families,” has finally passed in both bodies of the General Assembly and is being sent to the Governor’s Office. With more and more evidence and science coming out of the CDC stating that the transmission levels of Covid-19 in schools are relatively low when the proper precautions are upheld, there is no reason why our students should not be back in the classroom. There is also little to no evidence that shows schools being open have contributed significantly to the transmission levels in our communities.

This bill MUST be passed into law by Governor Roy Cooper to ensure that our children can return to a thriving learning environment and hopefully make strides to recover from the damage that virtual classes have done to their educational progress.
