The legislature sent a Covid Relief bill to Gov. Cooper, which includes significant funding to reopen North Carolina’s K-12 schools safely. This bill contains; extending the time for parents to apply for $335 “Extra Credit Grant” Checks, $39 million to expand rural high-speed internet, $1.6 billion to help schools safely reopen, $95 million for vaccine distribution, and $546 million for rental assistance programs.
